The Los Angeles Dodgers' 85.5% implied probability as 2026 NL West champions stems from their unmatched roster depth, featuring Shohei Ohtani's return to pitching alongside Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, and a bolstered rotation, backed by MLB's highest payroll and top farm system. Their 2024 World Series triumph and projected 95+ win pace per ZiPS models underscore repeat contender status, with trader consensus reflecting superior home-field edge and matchup advantages over divisional rivals. Realistic challenges include catastrophic injuries to star position players or ace pitchers, or breakthroughs elsewhere—like a healthy San Diego Padres core adding elite arms, Arizona Diamondbacks' youth fully maturing, or San Francisco Giants' rebuild accelerating via key free-agent splashes—though such shifts remain low-probability given current gaps in talent and momentum.

In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the team whose listed nickname comes first alphabetically.
If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to be named the 2026 National League West division champion per the rules of the MLB (e.g., they are eliminated in the playoffs), the corresponding market will resolve to “No”.
If the 2026 MLB regular season is cancelled, postponed after October 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”.
The primary resolution source will be official information from Major League Baseball (https://www.mlb.com/); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
