Erling Haaland's explosive start to the 2024-25 Premier League season, with 10 goals from 9 matches including multiple hat-tricks, underpins his 88% trader consensus as top goalscorer, fueled by Manchester City's possession dominance and his elite finishing efficiency well above xG. Recent returns from minor injury knocks have sustained his momentum, while challengers like Mohamed Salah (6 goals) and Cole Palmer lag behind amid tougher fixtures. Scenarios challenging this include Haaland sidelining via recurrence of foot or ankle issues, City's ongoing form dip with dropped points, or sustained hot streaks from dark horses like Ollie Watkins or Bryan Mbeumo exploiting rest advantages in the run-in.
